Granola

Ingredients

Rolled Oats
Flax (optional)
Honey
Dried Fruits ie Rasins, Cranberries, Apricots, Figs, Bananas, Apple etc.,
Toasted Nuts ie Sliced Almonds, Hazelnuts, Walnuts, Pumpkin seeds, Sunflower seeds etc.,....

Method
Pour large rolled oats into deep baking tray (deep so you can turn the oats with out spilling)
Bake in oven 180,  for about 10 mins, when the oats are warm, dizzle and mix a large amount of honey (no sugar).  It will be easier to add now as the oats are warm.  Continue baking till nice and brown.  Don't worry if the mixture is still soft, only when it cools  down, it will become hard and crunchy like granola should be.

Meanwhile, toast nuts, ie, pumpkin, sliced almonds, walnuts.  I like to toast my nuts on a hot frying pan separately, as each nut cooks at different times.
Chop to small pieces dried fruits such as apricots, figs.
Rasins and Cranberries can be added whole.

When the oats and nice and brown, toss in the nuts and dried fruits and flax.
Wait till cool and keep in an air-tight container.

Delicious with yoghurt, on ice-cream....
